Jodi Picoult had yet to disappoint me with her books. She always writes about real life issues. So far every book I’ve read by her has a trial in court. I think that’s kind of her thing. I don’t want to say it is in every book because I haven’t read them all yet!
The latest one I’ve read is Sing You Home. Zoe Baxter is one of our main characters, she’s a musical therapist and works with a variety of people. I refuse to give anything away but Zoe faces tragedies and when she finds a partner to start a family with, she reaches a wall. People don’t want her to start a family and she has to fight for the right.
Jodi Picoult calls into question what a real family is. There are some issues brought up that are still extremely relevant today. I started this book and couldn’t put it down. I flew through it but the ending wasn’t what I expected. The whole book was one thing after the other, a real page turner but the ending was super sudden. I’m happy with it but I thought I would get more details than I did.
I’m almost done all the books I have stockpiled so I’m definitely going to look into getting another Jodi Picoult one.. just have to decide which!
Have you read any of her books? Which was your favourite?
