Sephora Fine Line Felt Liner Review

I’m pretty obsessed with this eyeliner. I only use it for doing my winged eyeliner and it’s the easiest thing for me as opposed to the liquid ones. It is long lasting and with its fine point and pen style I feel like I have the most control. I’ve only really used Sephora’s brand as it has never failed me. I always start from the tip of the wing and then move into the corner of my eye. With the way the pen works, I can use it to make my line thicker near my eye just by changing the angle and pressure of the pen.

I did try a mini version of Kat Von D’s eyeliner but I had a hard time with it. I won’t say if it is good or bad, just that because it was so small I felt like I didn’t have enough control with it. I would have to try a full sized one to be able to judge that.

I have not quite mastered the perfect straight line as I’m a little impatient so I either use tape (Yes I’m serious, scotch tape). If you try this, STICK IT TO YOUR HAND FIRST. Otherwise it really hurts to pull that off of your face. I’ve also used anything with a straight edge, like a business card.

I liked this one so much that I went ahead and ordered another one so I don’t have to worry about running out. I’ve had it for about 8 months now and it has yet to dry out. I don’t use it every day but it’s nice to see that it has lasted me so long without it drying up even without it constantly being used. Also, because it is the Sephora brand it isn’t as expensive as some of the other ones.

Let me know if you guys recommend any other ones to do the winged look, or if you have any tricks to creating them!

  1. I love good affordable finds! I’m usually terrible with a felt tip (brush tip works best for me) but I’m always looking for a good eyeliner that will help me get better at a wing. I’ll keep this one in mind!
