I was really excited about the new Too Faced Peaches and Cream Collection especially their setting powder. While I’ve previously said I don’t typically like to change up a product if it’s working for me I have heard that Too Faced’s Mattifying Loose Setting Powder is really good. It has a pretty high rating on Sephora and people with oily skin reviewed it and said that it kept them matte, which in the end is the ultimate goal.
I was going to wait a bit before purchasing it, but my regular Make Up For Ever Super Matte Loose Powder is running low and I was already out shopping yesterday, so I decided to pop into Sephora to pick up another one. They were sold out of my usual MUFE, so I decided to look at Peach Perfect. One of the things I really like about it is that for only $3 it comes with so much more product. MUFE is $37 CAD for 0.35oz and Too Faced is $40 CAD for 1.23oz. My MUFE Â setting powder usually lasts me about 2 months, so I can’t even imagine how long the Too Faced one is going to last me now.
I haven’t completely run out of my MUFE setting powder, but I knew I wanted to review the product today. Also it was pretty hot today, so I wanted to see how the makeup would react to a bit of sweat. I was hoping that it would do a good job because I had an interview today. I definitely didn’t want my face to be an oily sweaty mess. It was taking a bit of a risk, but it definitely paid off as I’ve been matte all day! 🙂
So let me start off by saying that this stuff smells amazing. I kept getting whiffs of it as I was putting it on and it definitely smells like the perfect peach. The good news is that I like it a lot and it has kept me matte. Now I wouldn’t consider this bad news per say, but it is a little hard to get out. It doesn’t come with an applicator, which is what I’m used to with my MUFE one and I’ve always found that I waste product when I use a brush. So this afternoon I just used my MUFE applicator, but I’m going to have to come up with a solution. The video on Sephora for this product shows the makeup artist use a brush, so maybe I’ll just use the brush technique.
Overall, I’m very happy I ended up buying this one. As I was walking to the bus stop the wind blew and I got a whiff of peaches. So on top of making your face matte it’s also going to smell like a peach, which is definitely not a bad thing unless if you hate peaches. But honestly who hates peaches?
Have you tried any of the Peaches and Cream Collection? What do you think?

I haven’t tried anything from the Peaches line yet. The setting powder sounds really good! I like that it kept you matte. I have oily skin also so I’m always looking for mattifying products!
