I know, I know another skin care review, but trust me guys I love my skin care products. It’s also hardcore winter here at the moment, so taking care of my skin is important to me. I just hate it when my face is super flaky with dry skin, as it does not make for a flawless makeup application process. The worst is noticing the flakes after already applying my makeup. So I do everything in my power to prevent those awful little flakes.
This was originally a sample product that I got at Sephora when I cashed in some VIB points. I had only heard about it the week before, but immediately I was interested because I had been looking for a new day cream to put on after washing my face and before putting on my makeup. I liked the sound of it because it was a water cream and water creams are good for people who have oily skin. So really I was looking for a day cream that wasn’t going to make me any oiler than I already am.
The first thing I noticed about this cream when I first tried it was the smell. I can’t really say what it smells like mostly because I can’t describe it, but don’t get me wrong I think it smells great. As soon as I rubbed it into my face I could already tell that I would be purchasing the larger size once the little sample ran out. The directions say to use twice a day, but honestly I just use it in the morning. At night I don’t mind using oilier creams because I wash my face every morning. I think I used up the sample within a week, so that’s not too bad considering it was tiny. That weekend I went to Sephora and got the slightly bigger size ($28 CAD). Now I’m just warning you that this stuff is not cheap. The $28 is fairly small for the price, and the regular size is $85 CAD, which is just a crazy price for cream… But at the same time I love it, so I’m really not looking forward to running out of my current size. However, instead of just continuing to buy the small size I think when I run out I’m just going to bite the bullet and buy the regular size.
But anyways back to the product… It’s a great day cream. If you are looking for a non-oily day cream I would highly recommend!
