The holidays are basically over and it’s back to everyday life. No more overindulging for me, time to get back into the flow of things and that means back to working out and eating healthy! I have to admit, I may have slacked off a little (or maybe a lot) over the holiday season. A big part of your health is not just about exercise, but what you are fueling your body with. Your diet habits are a big part of your health and overall wellness.
I tried this healthy recipe for something new and it was really good! I was a little intimidated at first as I have never made spaghetti squash before, but this recipe was fairly easy and took less than an hour to prepare it all. I found it as I was looking around on Pinterest and decided to give it a go!
It’s not overly strong in flavours, but it was good and it’s all fresh ingredients which is important to me. It does contain chicken and chicken broth, but I believe it would be easy to make it into a vegetarian dish. I’m not sure about that area of things though, but would love to know if anyone has suggestions for that! I would definitely make this recipe again though and I would recommend it highly to people who are newer to the kitchen. While the squash is cooking you have enough time to prepare everything else. This is not a stressful recipe. I did do one thing differently in the recipe, instead of using a fresh squeezed lemon I used a little lemon juice, as it was just more convenient for me.
I would give this recipe 4 out of 5 stars just because it wasn’t as flavour packed as I would have liked.
